Ice® is derived from crossing Skunk Special with White Widow. Out of 500 female plants one plants was selected for its ability to express both sides equally. It has the ginormous buds of Skunk Special together with the resin production and sheer power of White Widow.

Ice® recorded the highest levels of THC at the 1998 High Times Cannabis Cup (published in Weed World magazine). Multiple back-crossing (squaring and cubing) has resulted in specific desired traits being stabilised and at one point even some Blueberry genetics were added and subsequently stabilised. This plant withstands high temperatures well and is primarily intended to be an indoor strain although it is worth pointing out that it will flourish in a Mediterranean-type climate outdoors.

With a two week vegetative period before being put into flowering plants will grow to about 60 – 80 cm. tall. The flowering period will endure for approximately 60 days giving a total growing time of about 75 days with outdoor harvests being ready in mid-October for northern Europe. Yields are very high and the buds have a very strong diesel-fuel smell and taste which comes across as being rather medicinal in nature. The effect hits hard and fast with a true indica body-stone that will get growers very relaxed indeed.

Mimosa Champagne is a cross of an especially pungent and resin-covered strain called Mimosa with a vigorous, fast-flowering Champagne Kush male plant. The result is large yields of buds with an uplifting, though relaxing, effect.

Suitable for cultivation indoors as well as outdoors, Mimosa Champagne grows to be a medium-sized plant indoors ending up between 120 – 140 cm. tall whereas plants grown outdoors become rather taller, between 150 – 250 cm. Indoors flowering takes 9 – 10 weeks with very good yields of 450 – 550 gr/m² while outdoor plants can produce anything between 450 – 1500 gr/plant!

Dense, dark green, conical-shaped buds are medium to large in size and are plastered in white resin-exuding trichomes. Many display blue/purplecolours towards the end of flowering. Mimosa Champagne is a hungry plant and will need extra N (nitrogen) in the vegetative growth phase and enhanced levels of both P (phosphorous) and K (potassium) during flowering. This will not only maximise growth characteristics but also increase terpene production.

Both scent and taste are fruity and creamy, reminiscent of cream cheese. It has high levels of limonene and linalool adding to the energetic and uplifting effect and beta-caryophellene which helps to reduce stress. The overall effect is intense and long-lasting, stimulating and relaxing, with something of a rollercoaster effect, without ever becoming at all couch-lock in nature. It’s no wonder Mimosa is a rising star and one of the more popular strains in the cannabis community.

Critical Sour is an early-finishing cannabis strain primarily bred for outdoor cultivation. It has an interesting and somewhat unusual background being the product of a Maroc x Grapefruit mother and a father that was a compex auto-flowering hybrid strain of Auto NL x Auto NL x Auto Critical. This father was used in order to speed up the flowering times; although it isn’t actually an auto-flowering plant approxiamtely 1 in 30 plants are in fact autos.

This is an easy to grow plant that doesn’t grow too tall but which produces very good yields. Being a strain for general outdoor cultivation means that it is a hardy, robust strain. It is an indica-dominant plant with a strong yet flexible stem which is ideal for resisting the wind’s attempts to snap it. During flowering it will be apparent that there are more buds than leaves and this facet makes manicuring very straightforward. Its internodes are widely spaced giving plenty of room both for bud development but also for air circulation to help ward of possible mold attacks.

Indoors plants will reach a height of between 80 – 140 cm. taking 8 – 9 weeks to flower with yields typically in the range 300 – 450 gr/m². Outdoors plants can grow to 250 cm. in height yielding 180 -250 gr/plant with harvests in northern latitudes being anytime during September or early October at the latest. Precise harvests dates will depend on the climate and weather in any given location. Buds are thick, highly resinous, long and quite slender.

The perfume is a mixture of fruity, earthy and spicy and is quite unobtrusive making this a great “stealth” strain whose smell shouldn’t alert those whom you don’t want to alert. The flavour on the inhale is reminiscent of the pineapple pheno of Grapefruit with spicy and earthy undertones present. The effect comes on very quickly and has been described as an instant body high. The sheer power and couch-locking ability of the Critical and Auto NL blend with the greater subtlety of the Maroc and Grapefruit strains. The body is enveloped in a pleasant sensation whilst being happy and upifting.

Terra Italia CBD is a high-CBD outdoor cannabis strain which was bred by fertilising a high-CBD strain called Compolti with pollen from Lemon Kush. The ratio of CBD:THC is approximately 40:1. Terra Italia CBD develops into big plants with very big yields.

Outdoor Grapefruit was created by crossing the Grapefruit indoor strain with an Easy Sativa. It is 80% Grapefruit and 20% Easy Sativa and is a perfect plant for growing outdoors.

Outdoor Grapefruit should be sown outdoors in the northern hemisphere from mid-April through to mid-May. Female Seeds does not recommend starting them off indoors as this will cause early flowering to begin before they have reached a decent size thus compromising the yield considerably. Long days of sunshine will enable plants to reach a decent size before flowering is instigated. By the end of flowering, about 50 days, they will have reached between 200 – 250 cm. tall and be ready to harvest come the end of September.

The flavour of this strain is very refreshing and consists of grapefruit, pine and fresh mint.

Maroc traces its origins back to the Ketama region of Morocco. It has since been selectively bred to arrive at this resinous version which is adapted to outdoor cultivation at higher latitudes. It is an indica/sativa strain.

Maroc is a great plant to grow outdoors. It should be sown outside in mid-April through to mid-May. It is not at all recommended to start the plants early indoors to give them a head start as they will start to flower in May as they are semi-autos. They really benefit from longer summer days for their period of vegetative growth. In low latitudes they will be ready to harvest in the second half of August but the further north or south they are cultivated the longer the growing season that they require and so harvest will be much later, e.g. mid-October at 52°N. With good vegetative growth they reach a height of 100 – 150 cm. tall and are big-yielding plants.

The buds grow long and quite slim and with a fairly open structure so a little dampness won’t ruin them as this encourages air-flow through the buds. The aroma is incredibly rich and aromatic with a sweet, earthy, floral taste – definite reminders of pure Ketama gold! The effect is very nice, a pleasant body-stone that has a broader impact than typical good-quality Moroccan hash due to the wider range of cannabinoids present.

Female Seeds’ Gelato Auto is an indica-dominant cross of Gelato with two auto strains, viz. NL Auto and Critical Auto. Impressive auto-flowering yields are backed up with highly potent buds which boast very high levels of THC.

Auto Kush is an auto-flowering version of a Kush strain. Kush plants originate in the Hindu Kush mountains which are found in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and northern India. These are the original has plants that made such an impact in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Auto Kush can be grown in just about any environment thanks to its ruderalis genetics which encourages flowering even in very high latitudes and less than optimum conditions. In auto form enormous buds which begin quite light and airy are produced but they really fill out increasing in density as harvest time approaches. Plants grow to become 80 – 90 cm. tall and take just 10 – 11 weeks for the whole life-cycle to be complete from seed to harvest whether they are grown indoors or outdoors. As has already been mentioned the powerful aroma is very reminiscent of Blueberry cheesecake but there is also a very noticeable odour of creosote as well. The effect strikes a very good balance of the physical body-stone with a nice head effect.

Cinderella 99 (C99) is claimed by Female seeds to be the cannabis equivalent of the holy grail. This is because it manifestly displays attributes normally associated with land-race sativa strains and yet finishes flowering in approximately a quarter of the time.

Cinderella 99 is derived from the original brothers Grimm Cinderella 99; two pheno-types, a grapefruit and a pineapple, were crossed to produce this exceptionally fast-flowering sativa. Land-race sativas would take six months to flower before producing buds with an esoteric flavour and racy, psychedelic high. This C99 will flower in a mere 7 – 8 weeks. Plants are medium-size and grow to between 80 – 100 cm. tall indoors. Plants will benefit from LST or even topping if planted outside or in big containers indoors.

It can be switched into flowering mode after a vegetative growth time of just 4 weeks which is between 2 – 4 weeks faster than the original. It will even grow well in an outdoor environment in both Mediterranean and warm, dry, temperate climates. Yields are very high and both aroma and flavour are intensely fruity resembling grapefruit and pineapples. The high is delightful, very upbeat and uplifting with a nice, comfortable feeling which is both creative and happiness-inducing and one which isn’t so draining as to leave you unable to do anything much.

Auto NL (Northern Lights) has been constantly developed for a period of 20 years with ongoing selection for desirable traits. Increased bud production, higher calyx-to-leaf ratio, narrower leaves and increased resin production are the result.

Auto Northern Lights maintains the smell, taste and high of its original photo-period strain. This automatic version will grow just about anywhere including Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and even Siberia! It will grow to between 40 – 80 cm. tall and will take 11 – 12 weeks from germination through to harvest. If growing indoors it must be made clear that this plant will exude a very strong, unmistakable odour which will require a carbon filter to eradicate.

Yields are good, especially so for an auto, with 50 – 60 gr/plant a realistic aim. The effect is very powerful and fast-acting. A real indica hit.

Easy Sativa has been specially developed to be suitable for cultivation outdoors and in greenhouses in northern Europe. It is a stable and reliable plant, an early-finishing strain that produces large colas.

Easy Sativa is aptly named as it is difficult to go wrong with this one. The best time for sowing these seeds is between mid-April and mid-May. Don’t start them off indoors is female Seeds’ advice because they ware semi-autoflowering and would begin flowering before they had vegged. enough. The longer hours of summer sun will keep them in vegetative growth for longer so that they can fulfil their potential.

It has good mould-resistance and is also a good plant to grow indoors due to its stability. It can grow to quite a height, between 150 – 250 cm. is not unusual and yields are very good. Indoor flowering will take about 7 weeks with outdoor harvests in northern Europe being ready during September. Easy Sativa has a very pleasant, soft herbal flavour and perfume. Some plants are spicier and others sweeter but all deliver that soaring, clear, cerebral sativa effect.

Grapefruit was bred from a Cinderella 99 and a fast-flowering, fruity sativa. She has been selected on the basis of short plants, very fast-flowering, high yields and a pronounced grapefruit/citrus smell.

This 75% C99 plant has true sativa quality yet flowers in just 8 weeks or slightly longer. It grows indoors and also outdoors wherever citrus plants thrive but it does not like to be over-fed. This strain will grow to a height of between 80 – 100 cm. and will produce medium yields of very nice, happy sativa buds. The taste and smell are very pleasantly soft and fruity with a definite grapefruit quality. The effect is a fantastic soaring, tropical sativa high that is very cerebrally-inclined.

Lemon Kush is from the region of Chitral in Pakistan. It is an overwhelmingly indica-dominant marijuana strain with a very strong herbal lemon flavour and aroma.

Lemon Kush grows well indoors but is also suitable for warm climates outdoors. It is a medium-sized plant that grows to reach a height of 80 – 100 cm. It has a flowering time of about 60 days indoors where it would be advisable to use some air-filtration; if grown outdoors it should be ready for the chop at the end of September in northern latitudes. Yields are very good with up to 1000 gr/plant possible outdoors. The buds are dense, rock hard and white with resin.

The flavour is very rich, musky, lemon and herbal, quite powerful. The effect is surprisingly very much in the head and tends more towards a sativa high which is surprising given its provenance. The effect is also felt in the body and offers a warm, comfortable feeling. It has long been a favourite strain of the medical marijuana community in Holland since the early 1990s.

Red Purps is an outdoor strain that grows very similar to the old Purple Power cannabis strain but with improved flavour and smoking qualities. It flowers early and displays delightful colouration.

Red Purps should be sown outdoors from mid-April to mid-May in the northern hemisphere. Flowering starts as early as the first week in July with plants growing to between 150 – 200 cm. tall and being ready to chop during September. The higher the latitude the later the harvest so that plants grown in the Mediterranean will be ready at the very end of August whereas those grown in northern Europe will be in the latter half of September. Success can also be had with this strain indoors. The buds conform to the stereo-typical “donkey dick” description and yields are pretty good too.

Plants look more indica during growth although the effect is rather more like a sativa. The aroma and taste is like a sweet licorice with undertones of that special Purple quality. The effect is a sativa head-high which is not physically heavy or debilitating.

Auto Bubble is Female Seeds’ auto-flowering version of Bubble Gum (Bubblegummer). The original version was developed in the US state of Indiana before appearing in New England and eventually making its way across the Atlantic and ending up in Holland.

Auto Bubble is a vigorous automatic plant that grows to between 40- 80 cm. tall and which takes just 10 weeks from initial germination right through to harvest. Cherry Pie is based on the Female Seeds’ marijuana strain Pure AK, re-working it for the new decade. A Cherry Punch was donated by Symbiotic Genetics in the U.S.A. and Female Seeds subsequently crossed this with their own Skunk Special. Improved yields, extra vigour and higher resistance were the goals which were successfully reached.

This is an easy cannabis strain to grow and one which is not overly fussy about its nutrients. Plants are short to medium in size with only a small amount of stretch once flowering has been initiated. Their height indoors will be between 80 – 120 cm. whilst outdoors plants will grow to be 100 – 150 cm. tall. Indoors flowering will take 8 – 10 weeks with yields expected to be 450 – 650 gr/m². Outdoor plants will produce between 350 – 500 gr. each.

Typically indica leaves are dark green and broad and this colour is also found in the buds which can be streaked with blue and purple tones making a bagful very attractive indeed. Its primary scent and taste is Skunky with smooth, sweet cherry. The effect is very well-balanced between the uplifting effect of the Skunk Special and AK genetics with some nice relaxation courtesy of the Cherry Punch. All in all a very nice, cheery daytime smoke, powerful but smooth.

Female Seeds’ Auto AK is a cross of AK47 with Lowryder. It is a completely stable automatic strain that retains all of the character of the original photo-period plant.

Auto AK is an indica/sativa hybrid cannabis strain that grows to reach a height of between 40 – 80 cm. If growing indoors you are warned that the smell of this plant is very stinky and you are advised to use carbon-filters where the odour might be a problem. It goes from seed to harvest in 10 weeks; some plants may display some leaf deformities but these are normal for this strain and do not signify any lack of nutrients or other plant health issues. Its buds are quite hard and full of resin crystals. Yields are very good for an automatic strain.

Both perfume and flavour are complex with sour lemon, pine, earthy with an extra pungent diesel/fuel taste. The effect is well-balanced, intense and very long-lasting with the uplifting quality that evolves into a relaxing, more sedative, indica stone. This effect never becaomes a couch-lock one and medicinal patients will find their stress alleviated.

Purple Maroc is a strain that is intended for cultivation outdoors. It is derived from a cross of Purple Power with a particularly heavy-yielding, aromatic Moroccan female plant. The combination of two early outdoor strains is a sure winner for growing at higher latitudes and altitudes.

Purple Maroc is a superbly aromatic plant which grows long, slender buds which have a somewhat open structure. Mould and damp resistance is good with this strain. In the northern hemisphere they should be sown outdoors from mid-April to Mid-May. Female Seeds advise against beginning these plants indoors as they claim that this strain is semi-autoflowering and they will begin flowering too soon if this advice is not adhered to. The plants require the long days of summer complete with warming rays of the sun to keep vegging until mid-July when flowering will start to develop.

Plants grow to a height of between 150 – 200 cm. tall and produce good yields after a 50 day flowering period. Harvest in northern Europe should be sometime in the second half of September. Some of the plants will exhibit lovely purple colouration and all will have a thick coating of resin. The flavour is similar to that of Moroccan hash and the effect is a very pleasant body-stone.

Dream Berry is aptly named. It is the result of crossing a Blue Dream clone (Blueberry x Haze) with a Blueberry Cheesecake phenotype that is particularly Blueverry-dominant. It is a sativa-dominant plant that delivers an uplifting high that is perfect for daytime as its creative and social energy do not impart a heavy, physically debilitating feeling. Many therapeutic applications too.

Dream Berry can be cultivated indoors as well as outdoors, but in the case of the latter its thick buds have implications for high humidity grows as it can be susceptible to mould infestations. Indoors plants will typically reach a height of 80 – 150 cm.depending on factors such as pot-size, length of vegetative growth and correct nutrient levels. Yields in this environment are not the biggest ever at 200 – 400 gr/m² after 9 – 10 weeks of flowering but the sheer quality is its highest recommendation.

Outdoors the size and yield of this plant is another matter entirely; in the correct environment plants can grow as high as 4 metres with yields of anything up to 1500 gr/plant. The best climates are Mediterranean or arid/semi-arid regions. With skill, care and dedication it is possible to grow very nice plants in areas of medium-humidity but a close eye will be needed to ensure the plant’s health to keep it free from mould attacks.

Its buds are medium to large and are as hard as rock. Lower buds will be somewhat fluffier due to lower light penetration. A good cure is necessary to display this strain at its best and when done correctly it has enormous bag-appeal and perfume. This is a plantthat resonds very well to training and topping and it produces so many leaves that some trimming will allow greater light penetration into the interior of the plant. Blueberry strains tend to have a slow start to life but Blue Dream will quickly get into a higher gear once flowering is triggered.

Its perfume is sweet and (blue)berry-like with some sour, herbal notes from the Haze genetics and it has a very smooth berry flavour on the palate. The effect is very cerebral and is an upifting, social, day-time smoke that is great for those working in creative fields while it is also pleasantly relaxing for the body. Therapeutically Dream Berry is useful to relieve pains and nausea and to alleviate depression.
